Trump to host ‘checkerboards’ party at White House on Feb. 7

Trump is set to host a “checkerboarding” party at the White House’s Oval Office, according to The Associated Press.

The president’s son-in-law, Jared Kushner, is slated to host the event.

The event will be open to the public and hosted by White House Chief of Staff Reince Priebus, according the AP.

“The president is going to do a press conference with Reince at 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday.

He’ll give a speech and he’ll have a few questions, but he’ll tell you that he’s going to have a very interesting meeting with Reinecke Priebus and the other members of the Principals Committee,” Trump spokesman Michael Short told the AP, adding that the president would hold a press briefing on the event at the Eisenhower Executive Office Building.

The White House press office has not yet responded to the AP’s request for comment on whether the event is part of the president’s agenda or if it will be held in his private residence.
